Cherie’s Penne a la Vodka

Ingredients

  • 1 Pound Penne
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 1/4 cup Prosciutto (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 cup Vodka
  • 1/2 cup Heavy Cream
  • 3 15 oz Cans Tomato Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Romano Cheese (grated)
  • Romano Cheese (To sprinkle on finished dish)

Directions

Step 1
In a deep frying pan, melt butter, add prosciutto, stir until crisp, add vodka and let evaporate

Add sauce and heavy cream, combine

Add cheese

Mix all ingredients and let simmer for about 10 minutes

Bring 4 quarts of well salted water to boil, add penne, cook for 9 minutes

Strain penne, add to sauce, simmer for 5 minutes - serve
