A science fair project can be self-validating and exciting because it is not just practice.  It involves real discovery of little known or even unknown information.  When brought to completion, the project is an amalgamation of reading, writing, grammar, math, statistics, ethics, logic, critical thinking, computer science, graphic arts, scientific methodology, self-learning of one or more technical or specialty fields and public speaking.

This year’s Kings Park High Schools science fair included 290 projects or 404 participants in the following areas:  Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, Environmental Science, MST and Physics.

Congratulations to the winners:

Matthew Anderer, Cooper Ball, Samantha Cestone, Lauren Cornwell, Luke DeSilva, Jean DiFrancesco, Steven DiResta, Zoe Dougherty, James Gilchriest, Cailin Gill, Hannah Harrington, Jessica Hoyt, Michael Ingraffia, Jason Karalis, Ashiq Khan, Emily Johnson, Olivia Johnson, Amanda Keegan,  Gabriella Laviano, Renee Lee, Kaitlyn Mah, Matthew Manna, Kerri Miller, Raymond Moran, Alexander Morrison, Briana Motherway, Lilian Neilson, Elizabeth Palmer, Dominick Sarabella, Alexis Schoor, Gianna Sparacino, Emma Theofield, MacKenzie Traynor, Nicholas Van Deusen, Jamie Wisniewski, Nicholas Ziccardi
