Congratulations to the Kings Park Varsity Football team on their win over Deer Park in Saturday’s Homecoming game, 14 to 6.

As MSG Varsity reports, Joe Guercio had 141 rushing yards and completed five of 14 passes for 93 yards and two touchdowns to lift Kings Park (5-1) in Suffolk III.

Tom Milich had 24 carries for 149 yards as Kings Park compiled 436 total yards of offense.

Tom Venier had three receptions for 50 yards and a touchdown and also had 10 tackles and an interception on defense.

Luke Toscano had 13 tackles and a sack.

Before the game, the Class of 2013 Varsity Football Players honored their parents, sharing hugs and presenting them with flowers. It was a touching ceremony.

Saturday’s game was the last time these seniors will be playing at Kings Park High School during a regular season.

Halftime was just as exciting as the Cheerleaders in the Class of 2013 honored their parents.

The winning 2012 Homecoming float was announced – congratulations to the Juniors whose Wizard of Oz float was terrific – swirling house and all.

All the Homecoming Prince and Princesses were excited and looked fabulous.

During halftime one of these couples was crowned Homecoming Queen and King.
